Portraits for the Cure!

I recently accepted the MetroHealth 2010 Challenge to raise funds to support the Susan G. Komen Northeast Ohio Race for the Cure® on 09/11/2010 in the fight against breast cancer!

One in eight women will be stricken with breast cancer in her lifetime and the more money we raise, the more the Northeast Ohio Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure can give back. Seventy-five percent of the funds raised stays right here in Northeast Ohio for the fight to save lives. The remaining 25 percent goes to the Komen for the Cure National Research and Award program to search for new treatments and cures.

In lieu of any Creative Fees collected from Portrait Sessions throughout the entire month of August, I ask that you please join me in the fight by pledging $65.00 in support of my participation in the Race. Your tax-deductible contribution will fund innovative outreach and awareness programs for medically underserved communities in the Northeast Ohio area and national breast cancer research. It is faster and easier than ever to support this great cause.

You can make a donation online by simply copying and pasting the link at the bottom of this post. You can schedule your session either before or after you have made your donation, all I ask is that it be made by the day of your Portrait Session.

Thank you for your support in the fight against breast cancer. Every step counts!

Just Something Pretty

Some nights the sky is too beautiful to even attempt to convey with words. Saturday was one of those nights.

Macey

Oh, Macey! What a sweetheart!

Macey is a 3 year old lab/bull dog mix (and has the papers to prove it!) and probably the sweetest dog east of the Mississippi. Unfortunately, being that she is so squat in physique, she's gotten a pretty bad rap her whole life as she is frequently mistaken for a pit bull.

Thankfully, Macey has escaped being euthanized on two separate occasions and is now living the life in a safe and happy home where it is obvious she is completely adored.

Andrew & Alex (with special guests, Hank & Jack)

Though we did this photo shoot on a terribly hot day, I must say all four boys were incredibly patient and a blast to hang out with. Andrew and Alex were in town visiting from Raleigh, NC and I can't even begin to describe how much fun these two are. Polar opposite personalities who seem to just feed off of each other, they truly are an adorable set of brothers.

You may remember Hank and Jack from a previous post, they are cousins of Andrew and Alex. Though they didn't receive as much camera time during this shoot as the other two, my camera and I will soon be revisiting them!

As for the red shoes, I couldn't resist! Aside from them being my favorite color and totally awesome, I found it even more amazing that these shoes were actually a special birthday request made by Alex. Yep, he asked for red shoes for his birthday! How cute is that?

Collage Collections!

So excited!

I have been working quite a bit on new products that I will be offering and I couldn't be more excited about the frame sets that I will soon (very soon!) be offering. One of the collections I am most excited about are my "Many Faces" collages. These are composed of 9, 4x4 images from the same session put together within a 16x16 frame. (My examples don't show the frames yet, but I am just too excited to wait!)

I will have a wide variety of colors and sizes for the frames, and as I previously stated, I cannot wait!
